Key Features
Dense, Self-Supporting and Built for Punishment. Phenolic is the material of choice anywhere durability can't be compromised. AAPG Phenolic panels are a compact laminate: multiple layers of kraft paper saturated with phenolic resin, fused under heat and high pressure into a solid, self-supporting sheet, then faced with a decorative surface. Unlike standard HPL, phenolic doesn't need an MDF or particleboard substrate behind it, which is what lets it stand up on its own as partitions, lockers, and exterior cladding rather than only as a surface applied over another panel.

Ultimately Configurable
AAPG's Carbon Zero HPL® Phenolic and CompactWood® phenolic panels are engineered for the environments where standard laminate falls short: high-impact areas, harsh cleaning regimens, and exterior exposure. At Bryant-Denny Stadium, custom exterior-grade phenolic cabinetry holds up across high-traffic public areas; at Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital and the NSU College of Osteopathic Medicine, phenolic's impact resistance and anti-microbial surface were selected specifically for healthcare-grade cleaning protocols.
Because the material is self-supporting, phenolic panels can be through-color (the core matches the face, so a routed or drilled edge doesn't reveal a contrasting substrate) or standard core. Panels are available in a range of thicknesses to suit everything from lightweight interior partitions to structural exterior cladding, and can be fabricated flat, routed, or drilled to project-specific dimensions.
