About this Project
The new Dunedin City Hall in Dunedin, Florida, stands as a testament to modern design and functionality. Designed by Harvard Jolly PBK Architects and constructed by Manhattan Construction, the building exemplifies a seamless blend of aesthetic appeal and acoustical performance.
A highlight of the project is the contribution by American Architectural Products Group, which manufactured the acoustical wood wall panels and ceiling planks, key features in creating an acoustically optimized and visually striking environment. The City Chamber is adorned with high-level fabric-wrapped acoustical panels positioned above acoustical maple wood panels, enhancing both sound quality and elegance.
The design extends beyond the interior, with the acoustical cherry wood ceiling planks flowing seamlessly to the exterior soffits, creating a cohesive and inviting visual transition. The heart of the lobby features a stunning centerpiece: a 1200-square-foot digital recreation of a local artist’s work, rendered on acoustical fabric panels. This piece not only showcases local artistry but also integrates it into the building’s functional acoustical framework.
