About this Project
The JW Marriott, St. Maarten needed guestroom and suite interiors that could stand up to a premier Caribbean resort setting while still feeling warm and residential. AAPG supplied wood veneer wall paneling for the headboard surrounds, along with matching nightstand and desk casework, to give every room a cohesive, custom-built look from the bed wall through to the seating area.
A light, warm-toned wood veneer wraps the headboard alcove and wall columns, framed with integrated backlit coves and sconce niches that carry the resort's ambient lighting design. The nightstand and desk units pair the same veneer with quartz countertops and soft-close drawers, finished to hold up to daily housekeeping and guest use. In the guest corridors, AAPG also built raised-panel millwork doors to conceal utility and service alcoves, matched to the finish of the guestroom doors so the panels read as part of the architecture rather than a utility afterthought.
